When I had my Micro-T I went all out on it and did the Xcelorin brushless, SR3500 micro receiver, lipos, etc. It was super fast, but my only warning is be cautious about throwing that much money into a novelty RC. I found that the fun wore off really quick. The resale value for minis and micros is pretty poor also. Not trying to rain on your parade, just a heads up. If anything get the electronic upgrades, but don't spend any money on alloy parts. Best things to get would be bearings and threaded axles too.

You will need to shim the diff with some tiny o-rings or washers if you go brushless.

These are the lipos I used: http://hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=9027

HobbyCity also has a few small brushless inrunners that look about the same size as the Losi ones, but much cheaper. There was another micro brushless motor I used that was better than the Losi ones, I found it on a heli website, I'll see if I can track it down again.
