I have a homemade station too, made with a dimmer switch. :) I used it with the old hardware store Weller 40w and 80w, then with a nicer weller, with a blue handle and foam grip.
Even after I got a Hakko, I used it with the 80w for doing nimh packs. But with the nimh age long gone, the poor thing never gets used anymore

Okay ordered the 936-12 with two tips....with the graphics, just for the purdy colors.

You will be very happy with your choice once you start using it. I have not read one bad thing about Hako, and I love mine. It is dependable and veritile. What more could anyone ask for?

GOT HER!!!! have yet to test er out but after this weekend I will break it in. I was a bit worried as the tip and tip holder already looked toasted in color like it was used but when I went on the site they ones on the site looked the same so I guess I am all good.
