i've found that the turnigys and flightmax packs do much better in a high load application when you set the LVC at 3.4 or 3.5v/cell. my old, tired flightmax packs puff ever so slightly and get a little hot for my liking on 3.2v/cell in my flux, but are only slightly warm with the LVC at 3.5v/cell. i only lose about 30 seconds of runtime doing that.

my 20c 4s turnigy pack runs much cooler with 3.4 or 3.5 and since the voltage stays higher on it better than my flightmax packs, i lose almost no runtime and maybe 100-150mah compared to 3.2. i am up to about 75 cycles running it in my bl buggy and bl truggy (high load) and it is still firm with no signs of puffing at the end of the run (unlike my flightmax packs) and i still get about 4800-5000mah per charge. my turnigy 5000mah 20c pack actually has more punch and runs cooler than my 9000mah 28c+ SMC packs.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
