So, apparently, the KD motor is crap...I have heard this a lot lately, even though all of the reviews I have ever read (100s) about the motor were very good, with the only bad things being that it runs slightly warm and the endbell sometimes comes loose. I have never had any problems, since I run a fan & heatsink on the motor, and also used red thread-locker on the endbell.
My Dad's E-Revo runs great with the setup I mentioned above, and has never shown any signs of anything bad or something going wrong, but I did reset all of the settings to their defaults just to make sure everything remains fine, since I have heard that 0° of timing and too much punch-control can damage the motor and/or ESC.
Anyway, thank you for your help!

The KD36-74-1900kV (XL) Motor I have is in my Dad's E-Revo powered by an eZRun 80A ESC and a pair of Zippy Flightmax 30C 4S 2650mAh LiPo Batteries wired in parallel for a total of 4S-14.8V @ 5300mAh & 159A. The motor has a Turnigy Heatsink & Fan installed on it as well.
I have the truck geared for 38mph, which my Dad thinks is perfect for him, and there has never been a single problem with the truck or electronics. He drives hard and fast just like me, and we commonly run 5 or 6 charges through the trucks without many breaks.
The truck runs and performs great, so the KD motors can't be that bad. I also run the same setup in a 1/8 buggy, except the motor is a KD36-74-2800kV (XL), and it has performed flawlessly as well.

Trust me I hv used feigao n even 4poles neumotors, medusa, castle n tekin
2 pole motors are a big diff compared to 4 poles. Price is a huge diff. If kd really works. All the big brands would hv died.
Mayb u hv luck with it but a good motor need a good bearing n magnets.
What I meant by racing, is during racing we push the car n motor to the max n that's the time u can tell what's good n wats not.
But since hobbywing came out with their 4pole motors it cheap n good!
