Congratulations Brian. I second what TexasSP said. Way to go with the flow, it must have been very romantic We were in Hawaii last August and we really want to go back. How did you like the Luau? Those hips are mesmerizing aren't they

Started out going to SoCal (Fountain Valley) visiting my fiancee's parents, going to Disney, etc. Then, we all went to Hawaii (Oahu). Stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations resort (Lagoon Tower) in Waikiki beach. Had a great time. Did a LOT of swimming in the ocean and the hotel's pool, went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, went to a Luau, shopping, rented a car and traveled around the island sightseeing, etc.
While there, I got married. Had a nice small wedding outside at Kaka'aku Park (near Waikiki). We were going to wait a couple of years until we could have a traditional (read:expensive) wedding here, but we both thought Hawaii would be the perfect place to have the ceremony.
On the way back from Hawaii, we stayed another day in SoCal and visited some more relatives. Then, the next day, we hopped on the plane yet again and headed home.
We all just got back, unpacked, and are settling in.

Hey Brian I have not been on RC Monster long but would like to say congrats on getting married. The only thing that caught my eye is Kaka'aku.....it is actually Kaka'ako, I actually live 5 minutes from there. I am not trying to be a wise guy, just didn't want you going through your newly married life together not knowing that you have the spelling wrong. I don't know if it was just a typo or what. Just helpin a fellow member out

Thanks guys!
I'll still be here. The wife has no problem with my RC addiction, so I don't see myself selling everything unless I lose my job or something. About 3-4 times a week, I hook my XT8 truggy to a wagon and tow my little girl (19 months) 1-2 miles around the neighborhood. She loves her rides so the XT8 is not gonna go anytime soon, unless I mod the wagon with its own drivetrain .
Altered Image: Thanks for the correction! Loved my trip to Hawaii, but if I do it again, I want to go somewhere a little less "touristy". Somewhere where I can rent a (nice-ish)hut on the beach that is still close to "civilization", attend a "real" luau, etc.
Whitraz: Funny you should post that. On the way back to the hotel from the marriage site, I told the wedding party that I actually felt a phantom "click" of the ball and chain when I said "I do".

Next time try the southern side of Maui. The island has its tourist sections but where we stayed was in a town house on the beach and very quiet. The town we were in was Lahaina and still had plenty to keep you occupied but allowed us to get away from the crowds.
