On a serious note it is a fungus and I recommend pulling them asap, if they mature to long you'll find yourself having more of them once the spores release. Goes for any fungi growing in your lawn or whatever. That and many can be unsafe for pets if they digest them.

We do although they're not common where I live...unless all the 8yr olds get them first!
