It's a 6 volt fan, I doubt 7.4v would kill it. If you stayed at 2s you could just wire to the power leads.

I'd just plug it into the receiver though. No sense over volting fans if you don't have to. Plug it into the 3rd channel or battery slot.

I almost bet the fans can hack 12v, if so just make a balance plug adapter/use a female 2s bal plug and plug the fan into the balance plug of the lipo ?

just plug it into the rx with the attached plug

I only mentioned splicing to have one less wire, cause I like clean builds.

I mentioned the Lipo balance plug because somtimes the ESC is right next to the battery ?

Yeah, I myself prefer the wires hanging out all over the place and I just twist wires together and use electrical tape. See my builds to confirm
