The BEC you linke has 2 options for output, 5v or 6v.
The Castle BEC has the ability to be programmed for a range of 4.8-9v. So this would encompass more versatility if do go with new servos in th LST2. As well as the 1 yr warranty on Castle products.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
no worries of the bec malfunctioning and taking out the radio gear? it never happened with my helicopters, but thats my main worry with the bec aside from the fact that the receiver pack can put out more amps I assume?

That can happen with any BEC due to they way all switching buck regulators are designed. However, a BEC running at less than its full capability will have less of a chance of that happening since the components are not stressed as much.
Castle BEC works fine every time, and will power any servo at the voltage you decide (with the castle link). I have several, never had any problems with them.

I have the cars that I really wanted before I got them ;-)

I ended up going with the one I mentioned earlier in the thread, so far so good. Castle is a pain because you have to buy a programming card to get the thing to 6 volts.
