I have not hd a good look at those yet, but traxxas may have a stronger rubber compound than proline, and that is why the prolines fail? All of the stress will be on the rubber as it makes the 90 deg bend, so the tire does need to be thicker at that point. Plus impact damage at that area will cause more issues than before.

Yea, my badlands did fairly well, my mashers didn't last at all, but then my Traxxas Maxx tires completely ripping half the way around on all four after one run...But it wasn't at the bead, it was half way up the tire wall. Of course, I blaim the Maxx tires failing on taking a Maxx truck to a skate park...
