Honestly, if you aren't going to run really large tires, I still believe the Castle 2200kv motor is the most appropriate Castle offering for this truck. The 1717 from the XO1 would be great, I'd just worry about blowing diffs all the time, unless you're going to swap in LSTs or UE diffs.
Other motor I would suggest is a Tekin 1700kv truggy motor.

I would swap up for the latest Castle MM X for the waterproofing and latest technology.
