When I had planned running an mt2, I was going to use a Lehner Basic L motor on around 7-8 cells. However, when you run an L motor on so little votalge, you run into high amps.

You should remember, this is a 1/10th car, not a monster truck. 12 cells is not necessary. With an S Series motor on 8 cells, you could be doing 55 no problem.

Have you considered the Hot Bodies Lightning Stadium ST 1/10th 4wd truck? It looks to be a bit better designed than the mt2.
