Mamba sells themselves as ''brushless systems''. Thats how they got to where they are. Yes people use their controllers with other motors, but 99% of them are still probably used with the Mamba motors. Most people just want to drop the cash, use the gearing the manual says, and go fast. They dont want to have to think about it.

Being a system isn't a bad thing either; had a mm5700 motor go out and castle tested the esc (toasted motor sometimes can kill esc) as well as the motor.

I noticed on the side of the motor box at LHS where they put a check stating what motor is in the box, there was a fifth box 2200L. Not sure if this is new or old.
