Can you take a close look at the mounting holes? behind the mounting holes sits a plastic plate (you can see the black plastic sitting behind the holes) perhaps something went wrong with assembling it. Each hole should be covered with the black plastic plate

Thanks for all the input guys. I can't see anything wrong with the motor in any way other than the slight noise. The latest is that I instaled it last night and ran it in the street. It ran incredible. I don't notice any noise anymore so I'm wondering if it was just the bearings. I figured the only way to find out for sure was to run it a little. It's not like the warranty will go away in the first week, you know? Plus, I just couldn't stand everything set up and then wait another month or who knows how long.

By the way, the 1940/10 hi amp is an insane motor for the CRT. I'm beyond happy. Thanks to all of you for steering my through all my questions. This board is awesome.
