Bought my Hyper 10SC RTR, LMAO, and review

List of mods:
Removed the lower portion of the front bumper and added a "skid plate" that goes from the top of the bumper down the front past the front diff screws (modded plastic oil container).
Moved the battery back another 1-1/8" from the rear most position
Swapped the front and rear center shafts, moving the CD back 3"
Swapped the steel spur gear for Delrin.
Fabbed a CF CD top plate and added mechanical brakes.
Added chassis braces That meet at the CD top plate.
Stood up the steering servo to correct the geometry.
Put in the Jammin steering components with losi ball studs (now broken, replacing with aluminum parts)
Tightened up the front hub carriers where the pillow balls had slop.
Shimmed the front wheel bearings to eliminate slop.
Installed Losi 15mm big bore shocks (huge difference).
Added a 800mah 2S lipo for servo's and reviever (no BEC in the Phoenix ICE HV).
Installed a Phoenix ICE HV 80 ESC (could have used a 40amp with the low current!!! )
Using 2 x 1300mah 40/80C 4S Sky lipo's. (15 minute run time on 1000mah )
Neu 1515/2Y (1100kv) motor with the first fin removed to run a 13T pinion (could go as low as 9T I think).

Ah, forgot that I also used 2.5mm spacers between the pillow balls and A-arms to bring the CVD out of the diff cup a bit and keep them from binding at full droop.

And have rear CVD's on the way as well.

Thanks Brian, it just needed some tuning at first
Then I wanted to go HV with it, and that added a bunch of stuff.
Now I have decided to make it a legit rules free racer.

I'm going to start working on doing a electromagnet disc brake system to see if I can eliminate the brake servo. I found a few servo signal to PWM converters that should allow me to do a pretty strong coil (~20watts) at a very low weight.

I also bought a benchtop 4-axis mill I should see in a few weeks, then the one off stuff can really go nuts :-)

Damn, nice setup. I just traded for a 10SC because I like the way its really just a scaled down 1/8 scale. I had a slash 4x4 which I hated.

I love the 8s I idea, that's pretty slick.

I'm realy loving the 8S system, if it ran any cooler I'd have to call it a refrigeration devise :-)

Last weekend I got ~18 minutes of runtime on the track from 1300mah lipo's and was done before I had hit the LVC.

I'm wondering if I can accomplish similar results with a 6s setup. I know the amps will be higher, but perhaps it won't be to bad. I have a few MMM's and like having reverse.
