That sounds cool, but I dont actually recall the V2 ever being for sale, just advertised but not ever in stock.

Just buy an Emaxx tranny to run in th mean time- they can easily be modified to use a revo or jato slipper with mod1 gears ( but no center diff ).

Will someone explain to this noob what a V2 is? A combined slipper and tranny for gorilla chassis? Will it fit and FLM E-Maxx?

The V2 is the version two of the slipperential. It will only fit the Gorilla chassis for the Revo and the Maxx. V1 fits Maxx gorilla. It is a center diff with a slipper clutch built in..

So what happens to the front and rear diffs? Or does a GMaxx not have those?

The center diff replaces the tranny and distributes power more evenly. Like a truggy kinda. So the Maxx has diffs

Yeah, just like how a normal diff splits the power between the wheels at either end of a truck (one wheel turns faster than the other when turning a corner), the centre diff splits the power between the front & rear of the truck. In theory it helps to prevent wheelies and is most often used in racing vehicles- not an essential item for general bashers.

SO I have a question. Seems that there are a lot of us who are waiting for an overly busy supplier to mass produce this wonder center diff. My question is why couldnt we purchase a center diff for a truggy and mount one of those in our trucks????

The problem is that none of the existing centre diffs from buggies & truggies have slippers built in, and quite alot of work had to be done in order to get one to fit, as can be witnessed by the Candymans mod-job. Im not sayng its a bad idea, far from it, but what I am saying is that you have to be really rather skilled with metal working and have a good eye for engineering to make it work; which puts most people off attempting it. The beauty of the RCM slipperentials is that they are drop-in units that require no custom work to be done- just a shame Mike only has one pair of hands.....

Great! So most of the truggy conversions I've seen (so far) do not have a slipper in the system. And I for one run my slipper tightened all the way down, as I know many others do, thus basically taking the slipper out of the picture for all but ht emost jarring of landings. I know the benefits of a slipper has been debated on here before, but I think I may go the route of not using one...........at least unitl Mike has grown a few more limbs.

Does anyone know anything about when the V2 slipperential will be released ? I have mailed Mike but he has not answered ??
