Another consideration would be trying a hotter motor in the buggy and running 9 cells.
I ran 8 cells with my Feigao 8L and MGM 12012 in my Hyper 7 TQ conversion and it was around 30MPH.
I'll be trying the same setup in an OFNA Ultra MBX Pro next.

You'll need to be careful with gearing, but unless you're looking for huge speed you can get away with fewer cells. It is more efficient to use more cells and a lower motor, but either is possible and useable.
