The one you bought is just a regular UBEC - the one made by Catle Creations claims to have an adjustable output voltage if programmed using the CastleLink USB cable.
I wonder if Mike will start to carry this? I can think of multiple reasons to use a variable output voltage. Use one BEC to drive the receiver and servos, and have a second variable BEC to control the fans on a setup - if you need a little more cooling you just crank up the fan speed by raising the output voltage on the fan BEC........ |
