i think my next conversion is going to be a LST2. i want to go bigger than the maxx, plus i want something i can just bash the heck out of (even though it'll need some upgrades to keep up with BL power). i have one truck i went waaaay overboard upgrading, and i need to be nice to it. maybe keep it on a shelf most of the time. but now i want something that may not be uber-fast, but is big and can take punishment.

i've also had it in the back of my mind to possibly find a used 5b and convert that...but i don't know if i can find enough bashing room for 1/5 scale...

That would definitely be a sweet conversion to do the 5b, but with it only being 2wd, I don't know if it will bve very conrollable with brushless power.

The G3R would be great, as well at the RC8. I am curious to see how the RC8 is as an overall package. Seems to be very solid IMO.

The LST is no Maxx, yknow :) This thing is BL-proof (and probably moron-proof) to begin with! It's a huge difference between a Maxx and an LST2, I had a Maxx and started the LST as a side project but now I don't want to go back...

yep, i've heard the LST is no maxx. but, someone in another thread about the LST/Aftershock here on RCM said he had to upgrade almost everything to handle BL power. it prolly all boils down to driving style, like anything else. i hardly ever broke much of anything my maxx pre-SM, whereas others were constantly breaking bulks etc. i'm most likely having a titanium chassis designed to accept an emaxx tranny built to do a LST2 conversion - the guy making the chassis has 2 LST2's, and says the diffs are a big weakness but everything else is incredible. so, lots of opinions, but mostly that it's pretty darn tough out of the box. which is what i like.

moron proof helps, too.

I think I've decided that the CEN Matrix TR Arena looks like a very nice Truggy http://www.cenracing.com/area51/51_truggy.html

The chassis looks a little tighter than most, but after doing a Revo conversion, it cant be that tough, right?

One of the resons I like this one is that it looks bashin' tough. A lot of the other ones look like buggy's with bigger tires on them.
