These ones
Says they are 6061, but little else really. Still, anythings better than brittle plastic, probably.

It's all your fault! If you hadn't posted that they updated the price, I wouldn't have pre-ordered one of them this AM.

In regards to the new diffs, what effect do you think that new center piece will have. Its looks like some sort of brace, but I'm wondering what it will do to the diff tuning. Ie is there any possibility that it will allow lighter diff fluid to be used to acheive the same amt of slip?

Big hope as the Revo center diff uses the same diff cup. Anything to add some tunability to that diff (when 500K even gets thin... )

Smile E maxx : Soon to be released Brushless Version? - 10.24.2007, 05:44 PM

I was down at my LHS today inquiring when/if he was going to get any of the new E maxx in stock. The guy there informed me that he got an email from Traxxas, and they said there was going to be a brushless version released around December the 30th. I don't know if this is valid or not, because when I questioned him about the system they were going to put on it, he got the stutters.

BUT, they keep talking "Brushless Ready Platform". Could it be?

Surely a single VXL system isn't enough and two systems is too expensive for the general public. Hmmmmmm...........thoughts guys?

i didn't get a time frame, but my lhs guy said the same along with a brushless jato too then followed by the 4tec. i argued(sp?) with him about the jato telling him it makes no since to put that out, much less before a brushless onroad, but he swore by it. i still don't know if i can believe him though.

Dual VXL's

Would you guys believe that? Or a single BL system?

Dual just sounds cool, but dumb at the same time...... I think I will stick with the MMM set up

I am sure Novak and Traxxas don't work together anymore. Which is why Traxxas now have there own 1/10 BL system (VXL), and there own monster truck ESC (EVX2).

I think the new BL system from Traxxas will have a single motor because of the way they designed the motor mount on the new E-Maxx, where the motor will be in the center of the chassis.

December 30th...? I can't wait!! I just hope its waterproof like this one, and I'll be all over it.
