I had another 9XL which was for a mugen MBX5T conversion so I've put that in and ordered another (although it looks like feigao may help me out with a replacement).
The mm was charcoal - litterally! On its way to Castle when the PO opens tomorrow.
In the interim I've now created a "electrics module" - MM with fan, UBEC and specktrum SR3000 with the arial all mounted on a small lexan board.
Created common sizec mounts on my CRT.5, Revo and MBX5T so I have a plug and play module across all the cars - Just snap in the motor leads, steering servo and optional motor fans and I'm off.
30 second swap out between cars....

Top speed is gearing dependent - well it is a different color does this count!

The only way I'd use an L motor in something as heavy as a Revo is to use the two speed tranny. That'll let you gear higher overall for the top speed yet first gear will help with the grunt. Not sure how solid the shift clutch is under BL power. Plus, you won't have reverse and you'd need mech brakes going with the two speed.
