Personally, if I had no limits, this is what I would do.
X-Ray XT8 Truggy RCM Motor Mount MGM 22418 Neu 1515 (choose one that gives about 35K on 4S) 4S 4500mah 30C FlightPowers (and then 6S version of the battery for all out, stupid speed runs and bashing fun). The reason for this would be that 6S is way too much to drive on a track...but would be fun to have a boatload of power for bashing... A selection of RCM hardened steel pinions to adjust between running the two voltage counts. Lastly, I would highly suggest using the mechanical brakes, since it would allow brake bias adjustment and would take TONS of stress off your ESC...
