The less resistance the better, differences might be tight, but for racing you don't want your no1 position to depend on a few plugs that only serve your convenience. They can get loose, since they don't use a spring.

I agree with this whole heartedly. I am not a racer though, while out bashing if it come apart, put it back together and keep going!
