At one point in time I was experimenting with using T/E-Maxx diffs on a custom monster truck with "direct drive" (just pinion/spur for reduction), and I found that for a Feigao 8L, even 12/72 was barely a low enough ratio. But that was with a motor spinning 40,000RPMs at full throttle. I gave up on that project due to the complexity of getting the custom bulkheads/a-arms/general parts machined well enough to fit together, while getting these parts for a low enough price.
