It's a he said/she said thing anymore.

Shawn Palmer (Schumacher/Speedpassion importer) says the Speedpassion GT is indeed different than the GT selling in HongKong etc. He says the SP has some improvements that they have been working on... for the racing market. The SP version comes with the handheld programmer. I don't know if the other brands do.

Fiegao is making some nice BL escs either way. Before long it looks like they will be making a large chunk of escs just like they do now in the motor market.

The Speed Passion Shawn is selling is the same as the one Speed Passion made. No difference at all. The one selling in Hong Kong also has the programmer. So he's even making up more stuff to make it seem like the one he's selling is better. Wow. Feigao from what I know has the 60A controller and they make the motors. Feigao doesn't make the GT. I have the esc from the factory which also comes with the handheld programmer and handles 4S lipos. The factory even has a nice fan that can handle 14.8v as well and I'm trying to get them to send me that fan which is an option. I hope not everyone will fall for what Shawn is saying, because right now he is just making up stuff. The difference between Shawn and I is, I tell you everything up front. I said the controller that I have has a rating of 120A and 720A burst and handles 4S lipos. I don't like what he's doing at all. Almost forgot to add data from the last run I did with the esc I have: http://www.rcpics.net/view_single.php?medid=87646

I don't know that Shawn said the GT was made by Feigao... I don't recall for sure.

I know the specs listed are different with the SP GT and "Hong Kong" GT. Are you saying they are actually the same exact unit? Why would one source choose to mislabel the specs?

The SpeedPassion GT, "Fiegao", and Exige escs all have different handheld programmers. i think that is odd...

I do know there's another system in the works that's suited for 1/8... what do you know about that one?

The GT from Hong Kong and the one Shawn is talking about is the same controller. Please look at www.speedpassion.net and/or http://kinggolden-rc.com/speedpassion.html and this is from Schumacher http://www.racing-cars.com/usa/image...tter_Jan08.pdf. He is making up the specs right after I told him a few things about the controller I have. The programmer for the speed passion GT is the same as the one I have, but they only changed the way some things are said to actually look advanced. I can tell you that I spoke with the factory that made the controller I have and they are working on a 6S and a 12S system. I'm just saying what was said to me.

Importers change specs all the time, it makes finding the true manufacturer harder.

Hi John,

Look at this link: http://www.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=244134
I told everyone HW made the controllers and Speed Passion just got them branded with their name on it. The S and S just got chewed.
