May be an old one then they changed mid dec - worst case just use channel 3...

The issue they had with the BEC only happens when using Spektrum receivers because when you bind a Spektrum receiver you have to short two wires (using bind plug) on the battery slot so that the receiver knows you want to bind. The CC BEC uses those same wires for programming so when you plug it into the battery slot it automatically shorts the wires and the receiver thinks you want to bind. This is why the issue is solved when you plug the BEC into any other slot. This has been fixed by Castle though so any of the new BEC's do not have this problem.

So if you are using any 2.4Ghz receiver other than Spektrum then you will not have any problems.
