I think on the Savage it has a single spur and shifts internally.
but yes you'd need mechanical reverse and brakes.

I thought there was a reverse module you could add to the savage.

The brakes would just be the same as they are as a nitro. It's just if you want to have a multi speed tranny it needs a one way bearing so you can't apply a force on the shaft in the opposite direction for reverse or braking like you normally would with the solid shaft/no one way bearing on an electric.

I think Serum is the best person for this, but i'm sure it's easy to fit a locked shaft. You really only need one gear with brushless because they have so much torque you can effectively drive it in top gear all the time.

If you did want 2 or 3 speed (which i'd say you don't really need) you need to think of the motor just doing the same as your nitro motor.so you'd need a servo for braking and a servo for reverse(if you have reverse).

You really don't need a two speed actually, its just for the extra punch.. So a 3 speed is complete nonsence to me.. ;)

You could use it though, you won't need a clutchbell.. Just get the heavy duty 2nd speed gears and you should be fine..

You do need the mechanical brake with both gearboxes.

I thought you allready knew, that in the conversion kit is a special shaft, that replaces the 2speed and locks it in 1st speed..? (we discussed this earlier)

ok, so far i have thought of this. i am just going to lock it out so i do not need a break servo.

SHould i go matched cells? or just normal gp3300?

Also, are the batteries held in by just strong velcro?
