Ah, the age old question... what BL motor to run? The answer to this question relies on your specific needs, requirements and personal preference.
I guess your budget would fall under requirements :)

What are you planning on using the truck for? bashing, racing, both...
How much run time do you require?

If you are racing, the runtime will most likely be less than if you are bashing because of the hard acceleration and constant throttle used in a race.

If you want a longer runtime you either need to use batteries with higher mAh rating (which = more weight) or run a system with higher voltage for increased efficiency (wich also = more weight).

It is my preference to run a higher voltage system because I feel it gives me more bang for my buck due to the increased efficiency. I ususally run ~20volts. I also race against the nitro trucks which have 12-15 minute Mains.

I think that if you can fit 14 cells on the truck, the 9L and the 9920 (from Mike) will work well. You'll probably need to adjust the gearing a touch regardless of the system you choose. Proper gear reduction is important to maximize the motor output and keep temperatures down.

Hope this helps

What size and pitch are the pinion gears?
The specs say that the e-zilla is 9.5lb rtr, is this correct?
