well im gettin ready to start building my flm savage and i dont have the cash in my budget to get the 1521(maybe next week) but i want to get something for now so i was thinkin of tryin a kb45-8xl or getting a 9-10xl idk im goin to be runnin this truck on 5s and 6s with either my hydra240 or im goin to get the turnigy Sentilon100A HV 2-12S Speed Controller. so wat do u guys think would be my best setup also is it worth the hassle with the kb45 or should i just use a feigao for now

It sounds like a good setup to me. The only thing is, your battery choices will be limited because of the large motor diameter, and you will have to drill and tap some new holes in the front cover, because the KB45's have a 30mm bolt pattern. The Sentilon ESC is also quite large, and I don't think that it would fit on the ESC mounting plate without looking odd.

I Was Goin To Use The Adapter That Mike Makes To Use The 30mm On The 25mm Motor Mounts. Im Thinking About The Pinions And The Shaft. I Dont Think I Can Bore Out His Hardened Pinions. So Wat R My Other Options I've Heard Ppl Dremeling There Shafts Down Does That Work Good. And For Esc Ill Just Use My Hydra240 It Should Hold Up Good On 6s(i Hope) I HOPE THAT WILL FIT ON THE MOUNT TO ITS NOT AS LARGE AS THE SENTILON BUT ITS BIG

You may have issues fitting the batterys in with the larger diameter kb 45 motor. What gearing were you planning on using? 52t is the largest spur that HPI makes. You might want to mock it up with an existing motor and measure the battery area.

Yea I Think Im Goin To Scratch The Kb45 Idea And Either Use A 10xl Or Just Spend The Cash And Get Another 1521. Because Its Goin To Be Work The Kb Is Almost.25" Bigger In Dia Than The Neu And Almost .35" Bigger Than The Fiegao And Then If It Does Fit I Have To Worry About Pinions.

A 10xl on 6s should do fine. I have an aveox motor that I will use on 8s in my flm savage. Still need to buy the batteries, going with flightpower 3700 4s packs in series. The motor is 1200kv, and about the size of a 1515.

Sorry For The Off Topic Post... Satttheman,, Why Do You Capitalize The First Letter Of Every Word? Ive Seen All Caps, And No Caps, And Caps At The Beginning Of Every Sentence... But Never Caps On The First Letter Of Every Word.

Its Making It Very Hard To Type This Right Now.
