I hear ya and have a similar opinion. I’m not one to worship UE or anything; only reason I use their products is due to the extremely durable materials and design. When other inferior products have failed, the UE gear holds up solid. Frankly I don’t see the point (other then the joy of building) to spend all that money on a rig only to file it away on a shelf. I beat the snot out of my UE rig and wouldn’t have it any other way. But yes, one of these days it too will die and need to be parted out as no spares will be available…
