From the looks of it, I think it's the stock plastic bulks. Which are great for light weight, but just don't crash.

I went with aluminium bulkheads Here is a link to the ones I'm using. I use the stock shocks. I did bend a shaft on one but I just used pliers wrapped with electrical tape to bend it back. I think they are the same as the rear Stampede shocks but with different springs.
