Hyperion EOS 0610i duo - 05.11.2008, 03:03 AM

Im in need of a good charger and dont really mind spending money if its a one time deal (good charger that lasts long) Question I had was is there a better charger then the Hyperion duo? My needs are basically going to end up with the need/want to charge 12S, Any info is much appreciated also what chargers do you guys run and what chargers do you want/going to buy?

I love my duo. Now I can run and charge dual packs like nothing, so I can buy a few 3s and 2s packs to do it all from 2s to 6s. Also very handy for matching packs or cells, as it tells you the IR. Just be sure that your charging leads are the same, as a longer lead will show a higher IR.

I use the MRC Superbrain 989, and although I love it and it is a great charger, I wish it was a little more powerful. For example, when I charge my TrueRC 4s 8000 pack. I set it to 8 amps, but it can only charge it at about 7.1 amps... I am actually planning on getting the 610DUO in the future, if the funds allow. But if I were choosing now, I'd go with the DUO.

The issue he is having is most likely the 120w power limit on that charger. At 4.2v/cell, the max current will be 7.1A.
