The 1521 1y sounds good. I would stick with the smooth can for battery clearance with the flm chassis. Gearing with the 52t spur and an 18t pinion wiil get you around 45mph and also help with battery clearance. I figured that gearing with the 2 speed, if you use the 3 speed you should pick up 3-4mph.

Only issue with the flm chassis is that if you try to run a small pinion or spur, the motor will intrude on the battery space. Just something to think about. Otherwise you project sounds like a beast! The 1521 should put out some power. I plan to run mine on a 1515 sized 1200kv aveox and 8s lipo. Have to use an air esc though, but not too bad.
