Living costs are very reasonable. Only negs IMO are water costs are very high due to the tremendous growth in Denver and the West; & UV index is really high due to high altitude. I feel like I'm always getting cooked outside, where at sealevel I can be outside a long time w/o getting sunburned.

The climate is semi-desert. Dry but not too much like AZ or UT or NV. Winters are a trip. Snow can run Sept to May, but lots of days where its 75F in January and everything melts. Its not like the E coast where snow stays for months until spring.
Well said!!

I live in Thornton, CO (about 15 miles north of Downtown Denver)

I love Colorado, I have lived here all my life (over 29 years now) and could never leave!! We have over 300 days a year of sunshine it is great.
I also have gone snowboarding and wakebording in the same weekend befor!
If you are thinking of moveing here, then do it is a good place to be
