So i can understand that you like it?
I've order mine, and i'll recieve it tuesday or wednesday.
And i'am not certain yet if i've make the right decision .
I've the buggy in my head.........
So i've order an used Hyper 7 pro, and leave it on the shell, so if a day i've the idea to convert it, it'll be their and ready for brushless.

Yes, I like it, but I still need to make some suspension adjustments to be more competitive at the track. I will say that it flew off the jumps really well. And it's very stable, almost too stable right now. I need to get it to turn better, but I'm sure that I can get the kinks worked out.

My 5T was turning like a school bus at first. I messed with all aspects of the suspension to get it to turn better. I noticed the biggest improvement when I took off the hub extenders and ran zero offset rims. It will almost bite itself in the A$$ now. Turns on a dime.

How wide is your truck with that setup? I'm using zero offset wheels, but the truck came with Dace 23mm hubs, and I'm not sure if they are extended more than stock or not.

I'm using 0 offset rims with buggy hubs (no extension) and I like it a lot. I ran the new ProLine Holeshot LPR's for the indoor season. I'm going to try the Crime Fighter LPR's for the summer. Here's a pic, but with my old 1/2 offset rims AND the hub extenders. It was as wide as it was long back then:

I wish I could measure it for you. Right now, Dan, at RC Product Designs is measuring my 5T for his new electric conversion kit. The bad thing about this is that I don't have it. The good thing is that I get a free kit out of the deal for letting him borrow it.

If your DAce hubs line up with the end of the axle, there is no extension. Post or send a pic if you're not sure.

I put a Novak HV heat sink on the mega today, and it really helped out with the temp. Previously, the motor had gotten up to 180F. With the heat sink, I couldn't get the motor any hotter than 165F, and I was thrashing on it pretty hard in my backyard. The MM got up to 140F today, but at the track (when the motor hit 180), the MM never got over 120F. So, the motor heat sink is a success.

Very nice!!! As clean as any factory rig.

I want to do the same to my 8T. Will my Mamba Max be ok a w/ fan and cap mod? I hear a lot about free spin spikes frying the ESC. Do a search using the words "white smoke" on this forum and you get too may results involving truggy conversions. I like the MM mod from the Sweedish dude, but shipping it would be to pricey.

The only mods I did on my MM are to add cooling holes to the case and a fan that blows through the holes and over the heatsink. Switching BEC is added too, of course. I run 4s. My temps have been as high as the mid 140's after a 20 minute main. I would say that my total race-condition runtime on this controller is between 5 and 7 hours. I don't think there's a need for any fancy mods. I can't explain the smoked MM's, but I think most MM's are holding up just fine. At this point, it may be the more reliable setup when compared to the MMM.
