What Neu Motor for CRT? - 06.26.2008, 03:32 PM

Hi Guys.

I might convert my Jammin' CRT to Brushless and screw Nitro for good!

1. What Neu motor is the best combo of Speed/Torque?

2. What Gearing is the best for staying cool and a good Speed/Torque Combo?

Thanks Guys.

I'm a fan of the 1515 2.5D/F 5/6s on appropriate gearing - use brian's calc

Divide the diff ring-gear tooth count by the diff pinion gear tooth count.

And once you find out the tooth counts, let me know and I'll add it to the calc (note: I need the tooth counts, not the resulting ratio).

Did you try looking in the manual? Ofna is usually pretty good about putting tooth counts either in the exploded views or in the parts list.

1. How about on 6s? How much faster will it go?

2. Would the 1515/2.5d be faster?

36mph according to my GPS. With the temps I get though, it could easily be geared for 40+mph and be within an acceptable temp range.
