Negative? How is pointing out pointless mods negative? What you did offers ZERO benefit, and actually creates a performance hit.

I wouldn't even consider a fan unless my ESC ran 180, I had tried everything to lower it and had no success. I run in Houston (yeah, where the real summer is) and I've not had ANY heat problems EVER running 2S. Putting a fan on a mamba 2S system is just laughable.

I guess if it makes you happy, go for it.

Well I had to put a fan on mine. I ended up buying another brand new one and swapped them out and put the deans connectors on just to see if that may have been a issue. Same thing, up around 200 degrees within minutes with all my settings as low as they go. I put the novak fan on and temps were around 130-140. Ambient temps here were 72 degrees when running. I am running a Tekno Neu, 2s 8k lipos, (4s), 22/58 gearing, CC BEC.

Believe what you want I am a firm believer in cooler electronics work better for longer. You thinking the tiny little fan is going to hurt performance is what is laughable.

Hasn't been to bad here yet this year, but 100dF with 99.9% humidity is not unusal for a St.Louis summer. I probably wouldn't need a pair of fans for a 1/10 2wd ST, but a 3905 Maxx on 4S puts a little more heat in the ESC.

Thanks for the link. I'm glad they ship to military addresses even though this was on their website," We only ship to USA 50 States, Virgin Island & Puerto Rico. We do not ship to APO, FPO or International Addresses"

I was looking at your picture of the cooling fan on the MM. I see the heads of 2 screws or bolts. How did you attach it to the heatsink?

They are threaded into the heatsink with old shockpistons as spacers between the fan and the heatsink.
