Definately! If I could get my hands on a couple more I would. I know I could produce them if I get an extra one or two. They would be a hit out here on the west coast. Dudes love running the CD but the traxxas one is no good and lasts no more than a couple of hours. Plus as you know it only has the two spider gears and even running diff lock still unloads too much to the front axle. If this indeed a true ofna or hb style diff, with 4 spiders, it will be infinately more tuneable and reliable. In the same fashion as the V2 diffs. Just ordered my first set of those too! Can't wait to try them.
All this talk about center diffs has got me interested in getting one of the "Cowboy" ones as shown in the ebay link and here. Cowboy said he has no interest in making any more, but did say he has no problems with other making them and even offered to provide drawings. Has anyone taken him up on the offer? What is the one Griffen is doing? I'd like to have a real center diff in my Revo
I had a CD exactly like that in my Revo (got it from Squee a while back), and still couldn't get the oil mix right. It would either unload too much if the oil was too thin, or turning performance suffered with oil that was too thick. I just couldn't find a good mix.
I never tried it, but maybe an RD Quickturn may be better. Doesn't tame wheelies, but I can imagine it would make turning easier. Oh, and you won't have front braking with that device.
if someone puts me in touch with the originator I am more than willing to start producing these. There is a high demand in my opinion for a suitable option to replace the traxxas cd. I am fairly certain I could sell them. Thanks for the help. I don't know if Griffen made them or not, this may be one cowboy produced but I'm not sure. Any help in procuring drawings will be great. Thx!
Thanks Chris. I got ahold of him. By browser wasnt cooperating. I restarted it and shot him a pm. He is sending me the drawings. If there is anyone else that has one of these they want to get rid of let me know. I'm going to look into the cost benefit ratio of making them. I will keep everyone informed on the performance of this diff setup.
Currently I am working on getting the gears ordered. There seems to only be 8 in stock and I am trying to find out whether or not they are going to be produced again.
