For what it's worth, I opened up my KD36-74 today. It didn't take much force with a hammer against the shaft to pop the rear endbell off - and it's pressed in with epoxy like Feigao motors. Right now there is a crapload of JB Weld on it. The front endbell is actually threaded, but the threads on the cap are slightly too small of a diameter to properly fit into the threads on the can. When the rear endbell is done drying, I'll take some red threadlock to the front endbell.
