I got the cells from Mike. They're shorter but only slightly less diameter so battery bars should fit but you don't gain the space advantage in terms of length if you build side by side.

I'm using solderless power tubes though which is better than side by side for resistance and length of wire and therefore for interference and risk of voltage spike,i put that pack together in about 5 mins and it's the first one i've built.
