You would notice many other things wrong with your vehicle (electrically) way before the battery was so dead it wouldn't operate the doors.

Not always, havnt you ever woke up to go to work and have a dead battery due to a bad battery or OE like leaving the dome light on.

Believe it or not, I haven't! If they were smart they would allow for manual operation of the doors, just because of the probability that your battery could die and lock you in/out of your vehicle.
