If you used a thin sheet of metal, you could mount that in between the motor and motor mount, and have it hang back over the motor, then mount you fans onto that- cut a couple 30mm round holes in it so the air can pass through ofcourse.

Yeah, that's what I have decided to do. Should look pretty cool too.
