Does make the electric bill a tad higher. I also have neons in it so that is why the 1000w PSU was needed. Other wise with just the hardware i could use around 800w. It is a very powerful machine and have yet to really put a load on it. Even high end games like Crysis barely phase this rig. More power than i need for sure but, hey you can never have to much power
