The 7xl and 10L would work fine, but really need 15 or so cells to realize their power potential. Many folks run the 10L on 12 cells and get performance similar to the Novak. Then, when you want to embarrass your nitro friends, put in 16 cells! For 12-14 cell operation, the 9L will be the better option for most.

hye mike. is there a charger that can handle 16 cells? if so which oine? how fast would the 7xl go with 16 cells? with stokc gearing maybe?

not to cut in but the triton can charge up to 24 cells.

The triton is a nice charger because it has a lot of capabilities, but it is limited in it's LiPo charging capabilities (low charge rate capabilities).
Toby, the 7xl with 16 high voltage cells on stock gearing will get into the low 40s. It can be geared up for insanity though!

than the 9l motor and warrior 9918 controller is perfect! it will go 40mph+!!!
