However they are not rleasing it at launch with 3 speed, some people say they had probs with the transmission etc but shummy have said nothing about why they are not releasing it with 3 speed at launch...heres my opinion:

Havoc was designed from ground up with the 3 speed gearbox in mind, Tried & tested.. Schumacher are not new to the 3 speed gear box thing as they have successfully already released offroad models which use it (XTR3-e & Menace) So why would they not put it on the Havoc at launch...simple really...

Keep initial cost down of the kit, which atm is about £250 which imo is a damn good price for a top-end 1/8 truck

Also gives Havoc customers something to look forward to in the near future...a 3 speed hop-up for there Havoc... which has already been tried/tested so its 1 less thing for schummy to worry about, all they need to decide is when to release it.

Lets face it, Customer buys a Havoc, They think it's great...they are deciding what to buy to hop it up, Shummy release a 3 speed gear box...Havoc customers buy it asap...nice profit/turnover for shummy on the financial side & keeps havoc customers happy...no idea on price of the 3 speed if/when its released but im guessing it will be around the £100 mark (maybe slightly less).. Its a good step shummy have taken imo... keeping the initial cost down of a quality 1/8 truck/MT is a good call as there is much competetion for this type of RC atm such as LST/Savage etc but Havoc is the cheapest out the lot but imo not the least quality, As said earlier Havoc is classed as a stunt truck (something new i guess!) we all know how strong the savage is but looking at the build quality of the havoc its going to give the savage a run for its money in terms of strength... its a very simple design with top end tranny... excellent combo for stunts/jumps.

This aint the 1st time shummy have taken this step, the 1st off road they released (XTR) was also single speed at launch, then they released a 3-speed gearbox, I myself own 2 XTR's but have never bothered with the 3 speed, reason being is i mainly use them offroad & hitting 70mph+ offroad is not a bright idea :-) Also the fact that even with single speed on tarmac, the XTR's are damn fast...so i didn't feel i wanted more speed :-)

I can bet with even the 1 speed the Havoc will go fast with ALOT of power as its only 2WD. This is another thing people were suprised about, why not 4WD? ...Because they already have a 4WD 3 speed (Menace) The XTR's are now discontinuned but all the parts are still available for them directly from shummy. The Havoc will be the next XTR with better technology/stronger/bigger..XRT in its day was (imo) the best 1/10 truck there was..nothing came close in terms of speed for a 1/10 truck.. Some people say they were weak but from my own experiance with the 2 i own they are a damn tough truck, if you hit a solid object at even 40mph+ (XTR's could reach 50+mph with single tranny) you can be sure no matter what truck it is..something will break! I used to run my XTR's regulary & believe it or not they are still in the same form as they were from when i bought them! ..no hop-ups (apart from slipper clutch) & no alloy etc, only thing ive had to replace was a header pipe..& this was because a REAL car ran over my XTR during break-in! :-( other than the header being bent the rest of the truck was fine!

Anwyayz imo shummy are onto a winner here, good quality/strong & big with a nice price tag & id be very suprised if shummy dont release the 3 speed option within a few months after launch :-)
Right on! I have a Revo now so I already have my 4WD covered... I was just putting the Havoc up against the Jato... I think another reason they're prob. only releasing single speed is the simple fact that they're calling it a "Stunt Truck" dont think you need 3 speeds for doing jumps... One is all you need and prob. better for stunts as a one speed. 2 cents worth.
