I didn't mean to produce and sell it. Thats way to much work. I meant to buy one and modify it. :p

Although the design is pattened not the concept of a oneway shaft. And there many ways to do a one way shaft that would not mess with there patent. Theres actually another company that produces one way shafts for the revo, but there on the wheel shafts. Something like wings or something? So now that I think about it if those are on the front wheel shafts you can use those just fine with this chassis and not have to modify anything.

Seriously, I just never thought it's that important. I just made it. I made some center shafts for my Revo at that time, and had the things lying around anyway.
But if somebody is interested, I gladly do a write up.

I never thought about patent troubles, either.

My vote goes to centerdiff, though;)

Hello all,

A friend sent me a link to a pic of the revo conversion and I then found the gorillamaxx website and this forum.

First off let me say that thing is totaly sweet! I'll have one ordered as soon as it's available. I've wanted to build an electirc powered REVO (or "EVO" as I like to call it) ever since I first saw the revo.

That chassis is gonna make it realy easy :D. I'm a machinist but my time is prety limited. I'm usualy lucky if I get all my stuff preped for the next race before I head out. Finding time to design and build a chassis was the only thing stoping me from doing an EVO. Now all it's gonna take is a phone call and the ol' Visa card. :L: :L:

Welcome to the forums, Extreme! The G-maxx conversion will be available in a couple short weeks, so you found the site just in time! I will have the needed parts in case you don't have a truck to start with as well. There is quite a bit of info around the forums, for this vehicle, but for r/c in general as well. Please, look around and enjoy yourself.

Thanks Mike,

I race in the Norhwest and run in the Nortwest Championship Tour (NCT) every year. I'm currently running an LST (mostly cuz I'm brand loyal to LOSI). I just can't quite keep up with the Revo's. I run on a regular bassis with the guys from Maximizer and RD Racing products, they have some wicked fast Revos.

My plan for the 2006 NCT is to build an EVO and run it on the NCT. The rules for the NCT allow electic and nitro to run together in the MT class. In a 30 minute a main you have to pit once with an electric and 3 times with nitro. I've always thought it would be an advantage to run and elecric MT vs. a nitro, but no one up here has done it yet. I figure with a brushless setup and some 8000 mAh LiPo's I can make a 30 minute A main and only have to come into the pits once for a stop and go to count as my one required pit stop.

On the website it says Carbon Fiber version will be availalbe in 2006. I realy want the CF version but don't want to wait. If I get the aluminum version as soon as it's available, how much do you think it would cost to upgrade to the CF parts when they come out?

I'll have to get on the Brushless thread and figure out a good setup for my EVO.

Thanks again.
