Neu motors use a very good design and high quality materials. You end up with a more powerful motor that is also more effecient (runs cooler) and is lighter. Plus they are made to better tolerances and should last longer. Generally everything is better, and you pay for it. They are also hand made, which drives the cost up. Plus Steve has to make some money on them!

The MMM/castle neu combo should be the best of both worlds. From what I have heard the castle neu motors work as well as the real neus, and are optimised for car use. They are heavier, but use larger bearings and are sealed.
+1, once you use a Neu you won't want an el-cheapo motor again. After owning one the lowest I will go is a Medusa (and they're pretty good).

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

Ditto. I just ordered a Medusa 36-70-2000Kv and Neu 1515 1Y for my next 2 projects. The medusa will go to my revo conversion and the 1515 will go to either a ST-RR or XT8. Haven't decided on which truck to get .

Castle Neu 1520 on 6S LiPo Powered Gmaxx (Nitro Killer)
Predator with OS .21TM
Supermaxx with Mach .26
Revo with OS .18TZ
Kyosho ST-RR Conversion
Ofna CR with Tekin ESC/Motor (2)
