The issue I had with the sealed endbell motor was that the brushes were coming loose of the leaf springs. The design was very poor, the brush was just press fit into the spring. I wanted the rebuildable design cause the brush alignemnt method looks much stronger and the springs are better too. Plus if I wear it out I can true the com and replace the brushes. Only issue is that my comm lathe will only do 540 armatures, so maybe i should stick with 540 motors.
