how to mix channels on a dx3r?

Here's a couple things to run through and let us know what you see. As BrianG said make sure the trims and epa are set to the max amount for both the TH and AX channel. These you can adjust later.

From the main menu select

Reverse

set the throttle and the TH and AX to normal

(If these were set on reverse and your rc motor was going the right way when you gave it throttle. After setting them to normal you will need to swap the red and black motor/esc connections.)



Then select Mixing again and verify

Mix A
Throttle



Master
Throttle

Slave
Auxilary

Value
+100% 0%
(you can play with those percentages later)

Then from the main menu select

System

Then select

Switch Select
A B C D E F

On that list you should have


C-Aux Lin

If C is set to anything else you will need to change it to what is above.


After checking that go back to the main menu and slect

Monitor

From here you can see what the servo are suppose to do if everything is connected right and working properly. When you pull on the throttle the TH bar should increase in positive increments an the aux shoud remain at 0

When you give it brake the AX bar and the TH bar should both decrease in negative increments.

Once you have verified all those setting. Rebind the receiver with the transmitter and try it with the brake servo plugged into channel 3/Aux. The Black/brown wire for the servo are always on the outside of the servo when plugged in to the receiver.


Also what esc and receiver are you using? If you are running an esc that has reverse you will need to disable reverse on the esc.
