I'll need to edit the small amount of footage I got when I get a chance. It gets dark so early, especially in the mountains I barely had any time to run my truck...

Anyway, I got the box safely inside my garage thanks to my trustworthy neighbor. Hopefully I can start the build next weekend, but if not, it will have to wait for a couple weeks...

And the power plant:

Did a tiny bit of work tonight... glued up the tires and completed the steering assembly.

i am more interested if Kyosho lightened spur will fit.

I bought the 50 tooth lightend spur, the diff cup was a hair too big, just did'nt fit right. Luckily I was able to just get everything I needed to build a Kyosho center diff cheap. Got the Kyosho center diff spacers to raise it since the 50 tooth stuck below the hole in the chassis. Oh yeah I'm using the Kyosho RC-Monster center diff mount with Kyosho front bulk and top plate.

You will like the buggy.

Thanks Shawn. New pictures will be up tomorrow night. I have to send my camera into Cannon, so I need to use my dad's ancient one. I finished the front end so that is what the pictures will show. The build has gone very smoothly so far and it was very easy to follow the directions. All the parts fit great and seem to be very tough and high quality as well. We'll see how it turns out... I am also going to try to include mechanical brakes... more of a hybrid set up similar to MetalMan's set up.

Front end complete. Hopefully I'll get a chance to start the rear end as well tonight...

so slow :) i got in done in two nights (about 6 hours of work) Really nice build. One of the best I have ever seen.
I am getting a second one for spares as if I have it as spare it wont brake :) that will probably endup brushless after I see how it holds up and which parts I really need.

I just wish it wasnt 5 degrees F and snow outside.

The weather is the exact opposite here right now. Sunny (getting dark though) at about 70*F. I'll get some more work done tonight... probably finish the rear end. I am not slow, you just have time to work on it.

Looks nice Josh....I will be interested in how it performs/durability. For the price, you can't go wrong if it is even someone durable.

I finished building the shocks, but I didn't think posting pictures of that was needed... although I could if anyone wants to see them installed.

I also just received this email from Mike:
Quote:
The D8 motor mount design is done and they should be listed and available by the end of the week, Josh.
I shouldn't have any problems getting it running by the bash. Worst case scenario, I'll just install the electronics on the 15th.
