I know that if you put plastic rims in the oven for a little while - the glue will burn off and you can peel the rubber off the rim. Here comes the disclaimer : I do not, I repeat I do not know if this will work with alluminum rims without damaging the rims - so if you wish to try this - perhaps wait until someone can confirm this method with alluminum - I would hate for you to ruin your rims this way - But it works with plastic rims and removing the rubbers....
